COLUMBUS, MS – (November 10, 2017) Columbus Recycling, a portfolio company of Trivest Partners, announces it has acquired Mansbach Metal Company from Albertville, Alabama headquartered Progress Rail Services Inc., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Corporation. Headquartered in Ashland, Kentucky, Mansbach Metal is a regional leader in the recycling of ferrous, nonferrous and shreddable materials. As a result of the acquisition, Columbus has expanded its footprint from 9 to 18 yards.
The Mansbach purchase represents Columbus’ second acquisition during Trivest’s ownership, and the Company intends to continue to pursue additional add-on opportunities to build processing scale and further expand across the Southeastern United States.
