MIAMI, FL – (July 7, 2009) Trivest Partners (“Trivest”) today announced that its affiliate, Allegiance Security Group, LLC (“Allegiance”), has acquired Regional Protective Services, LLC (“RPS” or the “Company”) based in Brunswick, GA. Allegiance acquired RPS from the Company’s founders, James Burnsed and Lance Cronan.
RPS provides security guard services across several regions of Georgia through offices in Brunswick and Macon. The Company serves a diversified list of customers, which include educational and healthcare facilities, airports, gated communities and industrial sites.
Jim Stevens, CEO of Allegiance said, “We are very excited about the addition of RPS to the Allegiance platform. The RPS acquisition increases Allegiance’s presence in the state of Georgia. Given the growth in this region, we are excited about the prospects for RPS and look forward to the Company’s continued success.”
Jamie Elias, Trivest Partner and Allegiance’s Chairman stated, “From the outset, Allegiance’s goal has been to acquire well run security guard companies that augment and expand the geographic footprint of our business. The RPS transaction fits nicely with the Company’s Southeastern U.S. focus and represents Allegiance’s fourth add-on acquisition.”
Under the Allegiance platform, Trivest intends to build one of the largest privately-held security guard businesses in the United States through organic growth and strategic add-on acquisitions. The security guard services industry is fragmented with over 15,000 businesses in the United States alone.
